For more than 11 years as an actuary, I’ve made a career out of helping companies make decisions when the future is uncertain. An actuary’s job, put simply, is to put a dollar value on risk. I’m bringing that same way of thinking to small businesses: taking messy, uncertain information and turning it into something you can actually make decisions with.

I believe every business’s data tells a story. If we take the time to listen, we can learn a great deal about what’s working, what isn’t, and where there are opportunities to improve.

I’m passionate about both listening to the data and listening to the people behind it. That’s because I see my role not simply as an analyst, but as a trusted business partner. In a world where AI is becoming increasingly integrated into the way we work, I believe it’s more important than ever to have a person in your corner who takes the time to deeply understand the problems you’re facing, carefully analyze the information, and communicate the results in a clear and authentic way.

That’s also why I value meeting with clients in-person whenever possible. The best insights often come from conversations, and I believe there’s a connection that can be built face-to-face that can’t be fully replicated on a screen.

When I’m not solving data puzzles, I love getting outside and spending time in nature, whether that’s gardening, walking my dog, hiking, or skiing. I’m a Master Naturalist through the University of Minnesota Extension program, and I love traveling to new places with my husband and learning about the local flora and fauna.
